HOUSE PLANS

You may be wondering, how can I get my house built when I can't find an AIA Architect to design my home?  The answer is simple: you don't need one!  In most states, cities, and counties in the USA (the entire state of Kentucky falls under this provision), you only need to meet the residential code, which doesn't require the services of a registered Architect for single-family construction. You are probably now wondering what local designers can help me with my house in Central Kentucky?

Willie Martin'sIf you want a home with flair and have the money to spend on a certified interior designer.  Lee Guilfoil and Thomas Draeger are your guys, and you can reach them by calling their office at (270) 692-4616.

South Central Designs: Located in Adair County, Kentucky, these folks can design your home for a reasonable price.  They aren't architects, but they are great at designing homes.

J. D. Riggs: He creates affordable house plans for those in Nelson County and the surrounding area.

You Can Go It ALONE: Yes, you can select a design out of a book that you purchase on Amazon or Barnes and Noble.  You can also ask your builder to modify that design according to your specifications.  I am NOT telling you NOT to use a registered architect, however, I am not aware of any in the Central Kentucky area (outside of Louisville, Frankfort and Lexington) that serve the single-family market.

Wishing you the best as you embark on the process of building your dream home!
